Light Spear Mage Guide

So a bit different than other builds, the spear is gonna be your only damaging weapon for this build.

This build does not use int scaling gems to take adavantage of ice gauntlet damage. If you wanna do that for whatever reason, replace the freedoms with ice harnessing and use frost runeglass on you armour.

Gearing

First of all the perks in the tables are ordered based on the most important perk in the first slot. So Perk 1 and 2 are mandatory, while perk 3 is optional.

Optional

This my ideal setup, but you dont have too run this exact setup. Here are some alternatives to certain items:

• Spears

  Plagued crits can be replaced by Fortifying Perforate, Keen Speed, Rogue, Keenly Jagged, etc. You can find a good farmable spear here

• Farmable Armour

  There is a armour set in the pvp track with [Health, Shirking Heals]. Its an okay option if you are limited on funds. Just add Freedom too it.

• Ice Gauntlet Weapon Perks

  Unending Thaw is a very good option. It allows you too root, slow and keep the 15% damage modifier on them from the ice gauntlet artifact.

• Ring

  You can use mortal empowerment instead of purifying heart.

Heartrune

So for heartrunes we have a couple options.

• Rending Vines

  Rending Vines is a fantastic offensive and defensive option.

• Stoneform

  Stoneform is bugged and hasnt been fixed yet. Avoid if possible.

  A very good option, as it allows for much lower con.

Attributes

As this is a glass cannon build you wanna try and go as low con as possible. 150 con is pretty safe, but with stoneform you can probably push it too 100.

Spear

• Vault kick bis

  A pretty big counter too anyone using shields. Vault kick destroys blocked stamina.

• W enjoyer

  As the name implies this is the most aggresive tree.

• Arena build

  Probably the most fun build, but pretty shit in group fights

Ice Gauntlet

• Deep Freeze Storm

  Only viable option, as you need storm too proc artifact modifier.
